Make Your Voice Heard on Cigna’s Reimbursement Policy Change

As you are aware, Cigna recently announced that they will be reducing payment for QZ services to 85% of the physician fee schedule.

Not only does this policy violate the federal provider nondiscrimination law, but it puts patients’ access to high-quality, cost-effective anesthesia care in jeopardy – especially for patients in rural and underserved areas.

The AANA is leaving no stone unturned in our fight against this dangerous policy. Now, we need your help! Please follow the instructions below to request that Cigna executives rescind this policy before it goes into effect on March 12.

Instructions:

  1. Click here to find three template emails to Cigna executives Paul Sanford and Mike Triplet:
    • CRNAs
    • CRNAs, family members, and friends who have Cigna as their insurance plan
    • Healthcare administrators (hospitals, outpatient and ambulatory surgical facilities
  2. Choose the email that best applies to you. Please personalize it as much as possible so that it is not seen as a form letter and keep the tone professional.
  3. Send the email to Paul.Sanford@Cigna.com and Mike.Triplett@cigna.com.
  4. Encourage your friends, family, and colleagues who are affected by this discriminatory Cigna policy to send these emails as well.
  5. If you receive any response from Cigna, please forward it to info@aanadc.com.

Thank you for taking the time to advocate for our profession and our patients. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact AANA Federal Government Affairs at info@aanadc.com or 202-484-8400.
